Red Hook Station : Red Hook's fire engine was destroyed while on site of the WTC after the attack of 9/11. A new truck was purchased for them through fund-raising efforts by White Knoll Middle School students, many of whom were seniors at WKHS this past year. The station crew welcomed the band with a salute and a lot of good food. The firemen also signed a banner created for this event. As the festivities were winding down, Red Hook Station was called out to respond to an emergency.

Tribute at Ground Zero : March 29th, 2008, the New York Police Department escorted the White Knoll Marching Band to Firehouse 1010 at Ground Zero. Seniors, Brandon Bozard and Ryan Wilke raised the flag in memory of Joshua Torrance who gave his life for his country in Iraq. The band went on to visit the Tribute World Trade Center Gallery.

China Town,FAO Schwarz : On the afternoon of Friday, 3-28-08, The White Knoll Band visits China Town and Little Italy in New York City to do a little shopping and site seeing. The next morning, after appearing on the CBS Early Show, FAO Schwarz, the largest toy store in the world, opens its doors exclusively to the band.

Parents Tribute : After the White Knoll Concert Band performs at Carnegie Hall, proud parents, Marvin and Debbie Carnell express their emotions of the bands’ accomplishments. This is followed by stills shots of the parents throughout the year.
